Bunraku Puppetry
ぶんらく Bunraku Puppetry Lesson can be differentiated for Year 5 to Year 12
Example 1. Year 12 lesson at the conclusion of the introductory lesson, each group had 5-7 minutes to create a puppet (An old man, a young girl or a mother)
with paper, pen and kebab sticks. They then had 5 minutes to devise a story with their puppets.
Example 2, Year 5, Year 6 participate in a term long project, students become more involved with the puppets by also learning the Japanese speaking and traditional Bunraku operation of three puppeteers per puppet.
